Exploration Three by mason

A event that I recently experienced that taught me something would not be one singular thing. It is in fact a series of multiple events. The events I am talking about are bass tournaments. For the last ten years i have been fishing tournaments winning a few here and there. This year has been exceptionally tough for me. I have been fishing weeknight tournaments and have not done good in any of them recently. Although I have been struggling I have also been able to take a positive look on it. There is a saying in the fishing world that there is no such thing as losing in fishing, you either catch fish or you learn. Before I would just get frustrated and mad which in turn caused me to self destruct in the next event in fear of not doing good again. Finally I was able to start taking these loses and turning them into learning experiences to where I can apply it next time and do better.

Issues come in many different forms. In the times that we are in now, issues and controversies are around every corner. Issues of evaluation is a very controversial area. This area is highly opinionated do to the fact that its all based on opinion. I believe the issue of evaluation is one of the major contributing factors to alot of issues also do the fact that its all based upon someones beliefs and if they are to hard headed to bend and listen to another side and not even attempt to see how the other party see's the issue.

A issue which concerns me greatly that is happening all across the United States is Gun Control. Gun Control is where the government will enforce stronger laws and require a more extensive background checks on who can buy a gun. That is the low end of the issue, many people are much more extreme on this issue and would like to see all guns taken away. I am firmly against both of these sides of Gun Control. I believe that Gun Control will never work and it will only disarm and leave the average American defenseless. Such as the meme below describes, Chicago has the strictest Gun Control laws in the United States but at the same time also has the most murders in the country.

  1. I agree that taking away guns is not the right thing to do. The whole reason that this nation came up with the right to bear arms was to protect ourselves against oppressive goverments in case it ever got that extreme.

  2. I agree that we are specifically given the right to bear arms in the constitution and that it should be enforced. However, clearly the path we are on is not the best option. I think we need much stricter gun control laws in order to make America a safer place.

  3. I agree with your point of view, but at the same time I would like to approach the issue from a different angle. Since the U.S. has relaxed gun control, it has many gun related crimes. I know that in Canada, our northern neighbor, there is a lower percentage of gun related crime. So maybe they are controlling their gun rights in a way that the U.S. should adopt for a change.

  4. I agree with you that the U.S. citizens should have the right to bear arms and it protects from the government if it ever tries to become tyrannical over the citizens. People should be able to have the guns in order to provide for their families by killing wild game for the winters and times like that. Wild game is also better for you than processed meat because it has less fat content.

  5. I completely agree with what you said. One, because it is a amendment in the bill of rights and we have come to see that the founding fathers knew what they were doing. And secondly because taking guns away from law abiding citizens puts them in danger because criminals will still have guns.

  6. I agree with what you said above. I believe that if the United States creates stricter gun laws it won't do anything but leave people defenseless. Because even if the United States passed stricter gun laws and made it harder for people to get the guns people are still going to get them one way or another. People love the thrill of the chase and by out lawing guns in the U.S. it will only make owning one more desirable.
