Exploration Five by John Rickman

I read the article "Why you should Get your Shit Together Before You Make It Big", and I found it a rather interesting article, since I'm on the road to making it big. He talks about how even if you love your job and never want to retire, you should consider it eventually, because the longer you stay in the game, the more materialistic and profit minded you will become. He continuously argues that the longer you stay in the game, the easier you will become trapped, and eventually lose everything. People get locked into an expensive lifestyle, thinking they'll always be able to afford it, when in reality that isn't true.
A website I recommend is a YouTube channel called @Beats4Beets. Beats4Beets teaches you how to use the beat producing program FL Studio, and I strongly recommend this channel, because I used it myself when I first started producing music. The director takes his time, so his videos tend to be lengthy, but if you pay attention and apply his techniques to your music, it's really something special. Give this guy 30 minutes of your day, and you won't regret it, I know I didn't. He also posts a few beats and some pretty good mixes, so this isn't just a producing channel, it's a very versatile one.

  1. I really agree with this blog post because when you are rich and famous, you only worry about the money and the fame. If you know who you are as a person before you get rich, you will have a solid ground to keep you humble and to keep you well minded. With the YouTube channel I find it very beneficial to anyone that is starting out making music or is trying to make music but they do not know how to exactly. I feel that it would help anyone like yourself who wants to make music and they are just starting out.

  2. It is vitally important that you understand your basis before you wind up making money only for it to change the way you think about money and fame and ultimately change who you are and I agree with you John that this is an interesting article.
