  1. 1. I enjoyed seeing actual paintings by Georgia and learning the meaning and story behind them. I also think it was great to hear about some of her accomplishments as a painter such as painting the highest sold painting by a woman called the Jimson Weed.

    2. I would have liked a little background on her as a person before she was painting and how she got involved in art.

  2. I love how Nick and Jireh really knew all of the background information and could answer the questions in a very thorough and sophisticated manner. I like how they didn't have to use flash cards and did a lot of digging to find out why she did what she did. The connection she had with the artist named Arthur Dove was very interesting and i had never heard of him before. I think there could of been less information on the slides and more imagery. I think with the knowledge that they had in the subject, they didn't it all written out on the slides.

  3. 1.)Honestly I never heard of her before so all of the information was new to me and very interesting. I enjoyed all the amazing paintings throught the presentation.
2.)Would've liked to known more about her personal life.

  4. Speaking was clear and made eye contact throughout the entire presentation, didnt see any reading off of the screen.
I felt like the presentation may have been lacking some detail which would have made it much easier to follow along.

  5. The introduction was very well done and gave a clear background on her.

I think the PowerPoint slides had too much writing - since she was an artist, showing more of her work would have been more effective than having all of the writing on the slides.

  6. 1) I love the comparision and distinctions from another well known painter in Arthur Dove, great work!
    2) Legacy was touched on but i would have liked to see a more intricate role in the reasons why she is so memorable, too factual and not bold enough.

  7. I like how you included pictures of both her art and her opposition's to show how different her art was at the time.

You both were just a little quiet, but other than that it was a great presentation.

  8. I learned that Georgia O'Keefe still currently holds the record for the highest selling painting by a woman with her Jimson Weed painting which i thought was an interesting fact. The best part of the presentation was how you described the deeper meaning behind each of the paintings.
Something that i thought could be polished was that the slides could've been more interesting over all like with the organization and design of the slides.

  9. I really enjoyed your presentation overall. All I knew about Georgia O'Keeffe before this was that I had heard her name before. I really liked the in depth background information you presented not only about her as a person but also as her style of painting. The price that her painting, Jimson Weed, went for really surprised me. That shows how popular she was and still is. One constructive criticism that I would give your presentation is the big picture. What is it? The information was awesome and all but I felt like all off that was going to lead to some bigger idea but never did. Maybe there isn't one. Overall, I thought your presentation was very informative and was well presented.

  10. Before this presentation i have never heard of her, you guys did a very good job of explaining who she is and let me know her life story in a way.
    2) i would like to have known how she started to love being an artist, how she got involved.

  11. I remember learning about Georgia O' Keeffe in elementary school and I have always loved her. This was a great presentation. I loved how you explained her unique outlook on the world and compared her to different artists of her time. I also loved the language you used and how you brought the painting to life, "It LIVED at the white house." That was really awesome.
One thing to improve on, I think you both could have been more confident when you were speaking and projected your voices more. I loved what you were saying but I couldn't hear all of it.

  12. Great points: I really liked all of the facts about O'Keeffe that I learned, and how one of her paintings still remains the highest in sales. I like how you both flowed between the both of you very easily.
Constructive: I would've like to see an artist or learn more about an artist that had a strong contrast to Georgias artwork.

  13. I liked how you showed specific artwork and talked about how they are iconic and hugely popular.
I think you could have talked about she became an icon and not just her artwork.

  14. I think you did a great job of using pictures. I liked that you explained different paintings that she did. I also liked how you did compare and contrast with another artist. I remember from elementary school that Georgia O'Keeffe loved painting flowers but it was neat to learn that wherever she moved, her paintings were different. I think you could've gave more background on why she wanted to become an artist, what influenced her.

  15. 1) I really liked the way your presentation was layed out and how you both went in to great depth about each painting and interperating the meaning of each. I also like the use of the images it really gave me an idea about Georgia O'Keefes style.
    2) I think to improve your presentation you could have included more about how women were viewed in the 1930's.

  16. I really like that you explained every painting and how it was special. I also like how you and how you compared her to Arthur Dove and "how she went against the grain". Something that could have made it better would be if you included more about how she became an artist and what inspired her. You also needed to speak up at some points, it was sometimes difficult to understand what you were saying.

  17. 1) It was great that you not only presented many of her famous works, but also gave us the interpretation behind each one. One thing I learned from your presentation was that O’Keeffe holds the record for the highest selling painting created by a woman in the world.
    2) More elaboration on how her role as a woman influenced her work, her relationship with other artists at the time, and legacy would have added to the presentation.

  18. Great presentation overall, it was well researched, you both knew a lot about her. The slides were clearly laid out with great examples of her paintings. You could improve by explaining her influence on art today and what influenced her paintings.

  19. Georgia O'Keeffe is one of the most inspiration artists ever and this presentation did well to outline her legacy as an artist. The flower painting, which happens to be her most popular and most successful, is by far the best representation of who Georgia is.

However, the presentation lacked analysis away from the slides themselves. All of the information was written on the slides, and I could have read it and had all of the information.
